I can guess what happened... one of them turned the gas on the oven by mistake. then when they lighted one of the top burners... boom goes the leaking gas inside the oven.

Not getting on your case or nothing LrlynJy, I know you're first language isn't English but "Lighted" isn't the correct word to use there.. The word you're looking for is "Lit" as in "He Lit The Fire"
