Err when i worked with Network Rail (UK), some of these trains have a ground catcher- which is like a small pole that is too keep the trains upright if they derail, that is below the train. Basically..if a train with a GC goes past, its gonna impale you..

and what if a car had snagged a branch or piece of rebar or heavy wire somewhere along the way,and was dragging it low underneath...
