Man Puts Foot On Moving Lorry Tire Suspected of Drug Delusion

31.07.2025 - A man who put his foot on the road while a lorry was moving at a traffic light near Jalan Pekan Bangi Lama, here, yesterday is suspected of being in a drug-induced delusion. The incident is believed to have occurred at 10.45 am and went viral after a video recording was uploaded on social media. Kajang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said that the 43-year-old man involved was not injured. He said that the lorry driver, a 33-year-old man, made a report of the incident at 4.48 pm the same day, claiming that an unknown man was in the middle of the road and put his foot on the right rear tire of his vehicle.

"At that time, the complainant was passing through the traffic light area near Jalan Pekan Bangi Lama. When the complainant got out to check, he found the unknown man already on the side of the road with his motorcycle and was believed to be in a trance. In this incident, the complainant informed that he had kept the dashcam video recording as evidence of the incident in case the suspect claimed that he was intentionally hit," he said in a statement here, tonight.

He said the suspect is currently in hospital for further treatment where he is believed to be still under the influence of drugs, but there were no injuries as a result of the act involved.

"Further checks found that the suspect has 19 drug offence records and two previous criminal cases. An arrest will be made when the treatment procedure against him is completed. The case is being investigated under Section 336 of the Penal Code, if convicted of an offence he can be punished with three months in prison or a fine of up to RM500 or both," he said.

Naazron asked the public with information to contact the nearest police station or the case investigation officer, Inspector Muhammad Nazirulzahin Mohd Hashim at 017-8881475.
