Jamaica One of the visitors said the tour of the zoo was coming to an end when the zoo attendant (contractor) in an apparent effort to impress visitors, attempted to pet the lion. The man’s right ring finger was reportedly partially bitten off after he stuck his hand through the chain-linked lion’s cage. “When it happened, I thought it was a joke. Alright boys! You see that thin white nub on his hand? That used to be a perfectly healthy finger. Now it's missing the dermis. We call that getting "de-gloved." Usually it happens with an unfortunate mixture of rings and mechanical equipment... but I guess a fucking lion mixed with a fence plus a moron can do a pretty good job of it too. Glad he got to keep the bones and ligaments. It looks like it's just his right ring finger(4th digit, from the middle phalanx to the distal phalanx), but judging by the video, I wouldn't be surprised if his middle finger(3rd digit's distal phalanx) and pinky finger(5th digit) was also damaged during all this.
