There was no lunging at the bars, at all. You can so tell that lioness just did that to fuck with her! She knew she's had the drop on the human and understood she could get a reaction out of the reporter. I like how she just sat there and looked at the woman as if to say, "Oh, my! Did I startle you??".
The lioness was even a little off balance, upon regaining her footing, after surprising the woman. The lion had to take an extra step or two in order to stand comfortably.
She was playing. I'm not saying that it couldn't have turned ugly, because it most likely would have.

I think this is a feline trait! My cat does it to my dog ALL THE TIME! Needless to say, my dog's a nervous wreck!
