Couldn't read the date stamp, but that looks like a set up for ringing in Chinese New Year.

Re: Kid Throwing a Firecracker

I did something similar as a kid when I was about 9. My brother-in-law (the same brother-in-law that blew his face up a few days later lighting a pile of zinc/sulfur micrograin) built a "volcano" about 3' high in our sand pile then hollowed out a foot deep hole on top, filled it with roman candle pellets, firecrackers, ground up cherry bombs and blockbusters, and zinc/sulfur powder mix then laid down a trail of gunpowder about 10' long then he told me, "We'll light this after I get back from work later."

But I was impatient and asked my other brother-in-law to light it practically as soon as brother-in-law #1 left for work. When brother-in-law #2 found out I manipulated him into lighting brother-in-law #1's volcano, he was so furious he choked me. Ahh, memories of being a kid, a firebug, and the young brother-in-law of an unstable Vietnam vet
