that guy was Raphael Glucksmann, member of the left political party Place Publique. In the European Parliament, Place Publique has gained traction through alliances. In the 2019 European elections, it joined forces with the Socialist Party, Nouvelle Donne, and the Radical Party of the Left, securing 6.19% of the vote and winning two seats. By the 2024 elections, the "Réveiller l’Europe" list, led by Glucksmann in coalition with the PS, achieved 13.83%, earning 13 seats, three of which went to Place Publique members: Raphaël Glucksmann, Aurore Lalucq, and Thomas Pellerin-Carlin. Think he meant it to be in a more humerous way than serious but i like her reaction |

But if it wasn't for France, Americans would be speaking English right now. It's their statue. Besides, don't we tear down statues of things that we disagree with? Like both slavery and, ironically, liberty?
