The "racoon monkey" is actually a reing-tailed lemur, and it was male. How do I know? When male lemurs try to dominate other male lemurs, the spread their scent on their tails and use these tails to fling it at those other lemurs. Sort of like throwing stink bombs. The stinkier lemur wins, I suppose. But, in the video, you can see, close to the end of the vid, the ring-tailed lemur is stroking his tail, and sure enough, he attempts to fling it at the hippo doll. I thought it was pretty cute! He's play dominating the hippo just like the kangaroo is play fighting with it! Too cute! |

damn, i had no idea that a kangaroo could be so rowdy. i guess if i ever go to australia, i won't just walk up to one hanging around and introduce myself. definitely scratching that idea off my list of things to do if i ever go there.
