Re: Jim You're On A Roll
Personally, I thought it was cute but humor is highly subjective. The great John Cleese's favorite joke is: "My mother had omniphobia, which means she had a fear of everything, except a loaf of white bread." You neither, huh? |

Re: Jim You're On A Roll
A guy I know was in Vietnam, and he was the crew chief on a Huey. They went to drop off some ARVN troops at a specific spot, that was very grassy, and the ARVN troops were supposed to drop out and disperse. One of them jumped early, then fell down, and the helicopter skid on one side landed on him and pinned him down. (He wasn't hurt, just pinned down by the landing skid) so this guy tells the pilot over the intercom: "You're on a "slope". sir!" to which the pilot's reply was "It seems perfectly level to me!" He had to clarify himself a couple times before the pilot finally lifted the Huey and they got the guy out from under the skids. Nothing beats clear communication! |
