Sorry to burst your bubbles, but this isn't a japanese prank. It's a prank off of "Just For Laughs: Gags" which is a long running French Canadian prank show. Like it's parent show, Just for Laughs, Just for Laughs: Gags is shot in Montreal, Quebec. It airs on CBC and the Canadian comedy network "Comedy Central" in Canada, but I believe it also airs on a channel in the US.

Still funny as hell. Check out some of the other JfLG videos on youtube. All harmless but amusing pranks, some simple and some pretty complex.

Also, if it wasn't obvious... I'm Canadian.

edit: Just googled it, I guess it airs in many countries because it is a "silent show". No words, thus no translation needed. I never realized it had no narration till now... I guess I was too busy laughing to notice. Haha.
