Whilst I'm pretty sure this is a similar chemical reaction to how many other sweets are made, the fact that I can see it being made like a science experiment just makes me want to back away slowly without making tongue contact.

It's actually pretty good, my friend takahashi brought me some back from tokyo, his granny died and he & his family went for the funeral. I'll tell you all what it tastes like: Take a piece of taffy, nuke it in the microwave for ten seconds, then dip it in pudding made with soda instead of milk, then cover it in melted icecream, add sprinkles. It's an aquired taste but lots of fun to make, great for the kids if you have them.

Yeah, it tastes a bit weird though.

well, are you referring to japanese, russians, indians, iranians, chinese, pakistanis, bangladeshis, armenians, kazakhstanis, koreans, or....??? somehow i don't think all asians eat this odd chemical candy
