A young Australian woman captured the moment a motorcyclist was trying to retrieve his leg from the middle of the road.

A Queensland resident captured the footage of the bizarre scene on her dashcam as she was driving to work in Gympie.

She told: ‘I was just on my way home from work, I didn’t actually need to take that street, there was a lot of traffic and I only took it out of luck.’

Then there was just this leg on the road. I originally thought it was a real leg, and I thought “oh my gosh”.’ ‘I said “did you crash?” he said “no, I just couldn’t put my bike stand down. I’m OK I just lost my leg.’

The footage shows a leg lying in the middle of the road, with a man hopping down the street after it.

She can be seen stopping the car and picking up the leg, which was prosthetic and had fallen off while the man was riding his scooter.

After attempting to reattach his leg, the man can be seen hobbling towards his bike and can be heard groaning. After she had done her good turn for the day, she said: ‘I thought oh god I just gotta drive.’

To make things even more bizarre, a vehicle that looks like a Ford Model T casually drives by.

She also wears no shoes.
