It really is. Some of the comments at the source are pretty entertaining, too. Like the one that said he'd have a hard time blending in at the bottom of the ocean (hermit crabs live on land), or the one about forcing a crab into this (they select their own homes. They'll live in just about anything, as can be seen in the picture that I was eventually able to find - all these sites talk about finding them in soda cans, but nobody has a picture! - And while I don't like the pollution factor, the crabs will only do this if there's not enough seashells around, so I think it means a few more crabs might survive?
