The Happiest Mugshot In All The Land

"This is going to end up in that mugshot paper, isn't it?"

That's what an allegedly intoxicated Cabrone Brewer asked Tulsa, Okla., deputies seconds before snapping this picture.

A Tulsa man arrested after the car he was driving got stranded on train tracks saw his chance to poke fun at the situation and captured media attention with his goofy mugshot over the weekend.

Cabrone Deron Brewer had left a wedding and was driving a Volkswagen Beetle when the car became high centered on railroad tracks near 2500 S. Union Ave. on Friday night, he told the Tulsa World.

Brewer called AAA, and Tulsa County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched due to the location of the vehicle.

Deputies arrived and conducted field sobriety tests on Brewer, who reportedly told them he’d been driving. They found him to be intoxicated and he was apprehended, according to his arrest report.

Brewer was also booked on an outstanding warrant related to a 1999 charge of transporting an open container.

The 32-year-old said the warrant was from his high school prom night.

When he arrived at the Tulsa Jail, Brewer said he “figured (he’d) have a little fun with it” and said to a booking deputy “This is going to end up in that mugshot paper, isn’t it?”

He said he thought to himself, “Well in that case, I might as well go for the gold” and made an outrageous face for the camera.

A local television station reported his arrest on Sunday.

Brewer didn’t expect the incident to garner media attention, but he said it reminded him of how small Tulsa is. He recently moved back after several years working as a copywriter in New York City.

Brewer was released on Saturday after he posted bail on a $1,000 bond and paid a fine associated with his existing warrant.
