Re: Granny Doing 'Donuts' On Courthouse Lawn
Lorraine Wilkerson and a passenger had been drinking Jumbo Margarita Specials at a nearby Mexican restaurant, where Wilkerson reportedly finished her own drink and the remainder of her companion's beverage. She then drove her silver Chevy Impala onto the courthouse lawn, spinning in circles, tearing up the grass and striking a sign. Upon police arrival, Wilkerson registered a .090 blood alcohol level on a breathalyzer. Wilkerson faces multiple charges including operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating with an ACE of .08 or greater, criminal recklessness, criminal vandalism, and reckless driving causing property damage. Lorraine Wilkerson pleaded not guilty to all charges during her court appearance on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Following her plea, the court scheduled her next legal proceedings, next hearing on November 12, and the bench trial on December 15. |
