i always wonder if these cats are on meds or having some sort of condition that makes them fat. Maybe they're just overeating. a 10 pound cat only needs 200 calories or so.

It's a mixture of conditions and over feeding. Kitten food is dense in calories or something and will fatten a cat up usually.

It's probably how the rich view the rest of us. Fatten us up for their entertainment, then one day "sadly" have to euthanize us for the heart condition.

When cats want treats (which is ALL THE TIME) they can be VERY persuasive. Even for normal food, they act like they are dying and it's ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!
