I play a game called Fallout 3 which is basically a 1950'ish type setting 200 years after nuclear war. Most creatures have mutated though one, named Deathclaw, was man-made. Deathclaws are large, hunch-back creatures with speed and agility only rivaled by the size of their claws; hence the name.

Normally, a powerful weapon such as a 50 cal sniper rifle or energy weapon is needed to take a Deathclaw down quickly. Crazy me decided to tackle one with a:

Shovel.

I use the semi auto shotty or the alien blaster on them. Deathclaws normally kill with 2 or 3 swipes, how did you stand toe to toe with one without dying?

You must have your strength at 10 or something, and are you playing on PC? I play on the 360 and have played through so many times; every time I play I find something new, really love the game. I love using the Chinese Stealth Armor with finesse and better criticals

Have you gotten the special version of the combat shotgun, the Terrible Shotgun? I always try and get all the special named weapons, they do more damage and some have perks
