Re: Ethiopia: Driving Without Traffic Lights
Actually the method is very simple.. Keep an eye out for the object in front of you, stop or slow down if it is in front, go if the way is clear. Every person is doing the same thing. You don't have to watch out for distracting lights or other traffic even the cars behind you. We as humans do this naturally when walking in big crowds from all directions. No need to look behind to see who's coming, It works. Yes they do have accidents high population. But per capita the west is still the worst.

Re: Ethiopia: Driving Without Traffic Lights
actually, those drivers acts more humane than most in other countries. they stop when someone got ahead of them and gives way. no one yells "it my right of way" and push on stubbornly. it look rather nice seeing that too crowded street but everybody is getting where they're going because all of them are cooperating and giving ways.

Re: Ethiopia: Driving Without Traffic Lights
They're only giving way because they are physically unable to drive through another car. They don't yell about their right of way because of this video is anything to go by none of them have right of way and all of them do at the same time. I think you're giving them way too much credit saying that they are cooperating and acting humane! |
