The footage, recorded by traffic officers in Kunming, a city in Yunnan, China, on September 9, shows a man running in front of the overloaded vehicle. Police say the stunt was an attempt to prevent the traffic camera from capturing the truck's number plate. Authorities said the motorist pulled onto the hard shoulder when he spotted the traffic camera. The passenger then jumped out and ran in front of the truck to block the view of the license plates. Despite their efforts, cops managed to track them down and issued the driver penalty points and a fine while each man received a driving re-eduction lesson to correct their behaviour. Initially, it was believed that the man running in front of the truck was assisting with a breakdown. However, police later confirmed this was a deliberate attempt to hide the truck's improper loading. |
