In mid-September 2026, a man attempted to steal Pilsner Urquell beer from the outdoor storage yard of a local hypermarket in the Czech Republic. To reach the crates, he decided to scale a three-meter-high stack of pallets.

His plan went sideways and was recorded by CCTV security cameras.

Along with his meager loot, the thief left the scene covered in extensive bruises and deep cuts from falling into the broken glass shards.

The Police quickly recognized the man from the security footage due to his prior history with local law enforcement. When called in for questioning, he fully confessed to the crime. He explained to the officers that the entire incident was the result of a drunken bet and that he could barely remember any of it.

Ultimately, his painful ordeal did not save him from legal consequences as the police issued him a fine for a property offense.
