Nah ... he's not hating. He's amused. See how his tail is wagging? That means he's expressing friendship to that mechanical whatever-it-is. If he were angry, his tail would be steady and pointing.

This is why I can get worried when I bring my dog, or my niece/nephews around unfamiliar dogs.
