Ok. I will tell ya. A male dog has a bulby structure at the base of his shaft. Once he has penetrated her, the bulb swells up inside her thereby "locking" their genitals together. Male dogs cum for several minutes (yup, MINUTES) so locking the female's vulva to his penis ensures he will shoot his entire huge wad in her and fertilize many of her eggs. The male dog's penis is MEANT to bend backwards, which is why you see them butt to butt after the initial humping is done. While they are butt to butt, the male dog's prostate is stimulated, which helps the giant load be viable longer. Once he is done expending his load, the swelling goes down and they disengage. Then another male can hop aboard and inject HIS huge load and duke it out with the other male's sperm. Also of note, if there are 6 puppies, there can be as many as 6 different sires! How do I know this? Vet tech for many years. |
