They filmed “Walker Texas Ranger” in and around my childhood neighborhood in Red Oak, TX. Red Oak is just a few minutes south of Dallas. Once, my little friends and I were in the backseat of their mom’s van when an armed robber jumped out of the store we were driving by. It startled us all until their mom noticed the area was blocked off and full of cameras and crew. Yep, just filming a scene for the show. Another time I remember they purposely burned a home on a street behind ours for the show. Also, my very first boyfriend from when I was in 3rd grade, Zachary, had a creek running behind his house and a wooded area that the show would use from time to time. We lived there from when I was ages 3-10, and I’ve actually never seen an episode of Walker Texas Ranger.
