I've seen this before. He grabbed the front brake (reason unknown), front brake locked up, tire starts skidding, dude releases brake, wheel starts rolling again, but during the momentary skid the front wheel strayed from the rider's intended pat (straight). When the wheel started rolling again, it was on a new path. Rider and motorcycle follow, following Newton's Laws of Physics. Collateral damage when you're just riding along minding your own business sucks.
