"Artwork" Gets Trashed by "mistake"
Modern art is sometimes questionable, but this time someone has made some masterpiece. ![]() It was supposed to depict some abandoned bookcase, or something like that: the title of the "artwork" WAS (it's no longer) Legg-io, and it was entering the exhibit "RAM - ricerche artistiche metropolitane a Padova, there was even some label indicating that it was some "artwork" entering the exhibit . But nighttime, a group of cleaners "mistook" it for some actual garbage, so they decided to trash it at the sight. I love some characters of modern art (like Lori Nix), (her works are definately actual masterpieces), but I confess in this case I would have made the same "mistake", no matter purposely or not. |

That is definately NOT art. That is some fuckin freak that thinks they are artistic. I have shit like that all over my garage. It is called "storage shelf". These assholes make a bad name for real artists. |

Re: "Artwork" Gets Trashed by "mistake"
Thanks for the replies, glad to know that I'm not the only one who does not appreciate THIS sort of art. I've found some news about this story: first, the good one: there is NO WAY to recover it, since it ended up straight into some compactor, then in one incinerator, according to Il Corriere della Sera (and you can bet the final result was way more nice looking than the original): that's more or less what I would have done as well, if I was sure to don't get caught while doin' it. Now, the bad one: the "artist", since she was extremely upset for what happened, decided to put there, in the same exact place, a COPY of the original work, but this time slightly hoisted, and with some HUGE label noticing that it's some "artwork" engaging an exhibit (probably it reads: "don't touch me i'm not garbage just some piece of art"). |
