This. I would rather a kid know about guns, how they are handled, and whatnot. Now that's not to say that she might one day go off the rails and kill a bunch of people, and she'll be better at it thanks to her training, but she'll be significantly less likely to kill someone accidentally because she doesn't know what the hell she's doing with her weapon.

Very impressive, but she forgot to demonstrate the very important first step: "While pointing the weapon in a safe direction, visually and manually verify that the weapon is unloaded." But other than that, very well done.  |
