Inejiro Asanuma Assassination: Yasushi Nagao Photo, Tokyo, October 12, 1960
Otoya Yamaguchi, a 17-year-old far-right student, fatally stabbed Japan Socialist Party chairman Inejirō Asanuma during an election debate at Hibiya Public Hall in Tokyo on October 12, 1960. Newspaper cameraman Yasushi Nagao photographed Yamaguchi delivering the second thrust with a short sword as Asanuma recoiled onstage and others moved toward them. Nagao had refocused as the attacker charged, and the image was the final frame on his roll. It was distributed around the world and won the 1960 World Press Photo of the Year and the 1961 Pulitzer Prize for Photography. Nagao became the first Japanese photographer and the first non-American to win the Pulitzer for photography.  ·

considering this is the picture which won the award, I would say that the picture is the real deal. the video of the assassination could easily have been recreated for a movie

yeah I was always worried I was the only one to ever notice simply cause I have never seen anyone say anything about the differences lol My only real issue with the picture is the fact that it looks almost staged...simply because everyone is around him like they could have stopped him long before he stabbed the guy...then again I am not sure when the photo surfaced (same day? next month?) and that would prolly be the biggest determining factor |

the pic is taken after he was stabbed if you watch the video he goes in the same direction as the assassin and people grab the assassin which both the video and the picture shows

I just watched it ten times and I can't see the problem at all, they both looked related.
