Execution of Saddam Hussein Photos: Camp Justice, Baghdad, December 30, 2006
Saddam Hussein was hanged at Camp Justice in Baghdad, Iraq, on December 30, 2006. The execution took place early in the morning at the former military-intelligence headquarters in Kadhimiya. Two recordings documented the execution. An official silent video broadcast by Iraqi state television showed masked executioners placing the noose around Hussein's neck but did not show the trapdoor opening. A leaked mobile-phone video recorded at the gallows showed the entire hanging and captured guards taunting Hussein before the drop. Iraqi authorities opened an inquiry into the recording on January 2, 2007, and arrested two guards and an official the following day. The four-panel composite includes three frames carrying the Iraqiya television logo. They show Hussein in a dark coat and white shirt as the noose is lowered and fitted around his neck. The remaining blurred frame, showing his head after the drop, is from the leaked mobile-phone video.  ·

Okay. If there is a no ex post facto law clause in their new constitution, and whatever he did was legal under the old laws, the trial and execution were unconstitutional.

Bush wanted him dead, period. I always wondered the legality behind it though. I watched the trial on and off but never understood most of it.

When did Bush ever care about the Constitution? Saddam should've gone to The Hague. Bush should go there. (From a few years ago: Bush is a sodomite. Saddam might do this. Saddam might do that.) |

Let me tell you that I spent 3 years of my life over there because of Saddam. This was with Clinton in office. Bush did what Clinton wouldn't. Not that Bush was right or that Bush was a good president but we (U.S.) needed to either shit or get off the pot!
