Ashley Arrieta Questioned in Gonzalez-Jimenez Death

Ashley Danielle Arrieta and Jamari Khayelle Webb were convicted of all counts in the killing of Hector Gonzalez-Jimenez in Tacoma, Washington, and were sentenced on November 21, 2025, to 31 years and 9 months and 36 years and 8 months in prison, respectively.

Gonzalez-Jimenez, 27, lived in Oregon and was visiting the Tacoma area in August 2024. Arrieta, then 26, worked as a dancer at the Dream Girls strip club in Parkland, near Tacoma. Webb, then 24, was her boyfriend.

According to prosecutors, Gonzalez-Jimenez met Arrieta at the club and arranged to meet her later at a Holiday Inn in Tacoma for paid sex. He paid her $1,500. Once the payment reached her account, prosecutors said, Arrieta sent Webb a heart icon as a signal that the money had arrived, and Webb entered the room. Early on August 25, 2024, Gonzalez-Jimenez was shot in the chest and died. A gun and an ammunition magazine were recovered at the scene, and his phone was later found discarded near State Route 509.

Hotel surveillance video captured Arrieta and Webb. Footage showed Webb leaving wearing a single white shoe, and the matching shoe was later found under his bed. Investigators also recovered a receipt from a Federal Way grocery store. Both were arrested in the week of September 16, 2024, and charged with first-degree and second-degree murder. Webb was also charged with first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. They pleaded not guilty at arraignment and were each held on $1 million bail.

During her police interview after her arrest, Arrieta was advised of her rights. She said she was drunk and remembered little, and that she did not know why Webb knocked on the door or what happened inside. She acknowledged sending the heart emoji after being paid. She told detectives Webb was breathing hard but not shaken up afterward.

Arrieta was charged and tried as a defendant, not as a witness. At trial, Webb's defense argued excusable or justifiable homicide. Arrieta's defense argued she had no reasonable grounds to believe Webb was armed when he entered the room. On November 4, 2025, jurors convicted both of all counts, including first-degree murder and first-degree burglary. Webb was also convicted of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

Pierce County Superior Court Judge Stanley Rumbaugh imposed the sentences. Before sentencing, prosecutors told the judge that after the killing the couple planned their wedding and discussed a honeymoon. No appeal has been publicly reported.

The video is a police interview-room recording that runs about 108 minutes. It presents the interview itself and opens with a short narrated introduction naming the people involved.
