Alyssa Marie Blackburn was sentenced to life in prison on October 8, 2025, after a jury found her guilty of one count of principal to second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Jesse Geoghagan in Escambia County, Florida.

Geoghagan lived in the 1100 block of Medford Avenue in the Montclair community. Blackburn was 22 years old when she was arrested in November 2022. Accounts differed on their relationships, describing Geoghagan as Blackburn's boyfriend in some coverage, while another account said she was in a relationship with Jacob Colville and had known both Colville and Lawrence Bonner Jr. The accounts did not settle the point.

Escambia County deputies were sent to the Medford Avenue address on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Arrest reports said Colville and Bonner arrived in a Toyota that had been spray painted black, entered the home with guns and searched for Geoghagan. A digital video recorder captured Colville finding Geoghagan in a closet and shooting him twice, then shooting him several more times as he tried to leave the bedroom. Bonner was shown handing his gun to Colville during the shooting. Geoghagan died of his wounds, and the Toyota was later found burning under the Eleven Mile Creek Bridge.

Deputies arrested Bonner first and charged him with principal to first-degree premeditated murder. Colville, initially wanted, was later arrested in Lake County, Florida, and returned to Escambia County. Blackburn was arrested on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, and charged with principal to first-degree premeditated murder. Evidence presented in sentencing coverage showed she had warned a friend about the coming attack minutes before it happened.

Escambia County sheriff's investigators questioned Blackburn at length about that day and the people she knew. The interview's date could not be confirmed, and its contents were not otherwise described.

Colville was found guilty of first-degree premeditated murder and sentenced to life in prison on June 13, 2024, according to Florida Department of Corrections records. Bonner pleaded no contest under a deal with prosecutors and received a five-year prison sentence. State prison records list his offense as second-degree murder.

Blackburn went to trial in August 2025. Judge Amy P. Brodersen imposed the life sentence, reported as life without parole. Florida Department of Corrections records list Blackburn's offense as second-degree murder, with an October 8, 2025, sentence date and a life term. No appeal outcome has been reported.
