Poor girl. I can't tell if she put up a good fight but I would hope she did.

It's how they were positioned when she died, got stuck that way from rigor. By the positioning of the right arm, and how her fingers are clenched like that, I figure she was struggling against strangulation...so to me, the hands seem at odds to her expression, not peaceful at all but instead a feeling of a futile fight for life.

It's actually kind of amusing that I can notice details like that, but not when my wife colors her hair or when there's food waiting on the stove for me after work. Absent minded professor syndrome I guess.

Rigor mortis lasts at the longest for 72 hours.
I don't think THIS is rigor.
Besides... how could you perform an autopsy on someone with rigor mortis?
