Aww, she was only 10 days older than my son. The girl passed away from cardiac arrest. She had given birth to her son on 8th November 2019.

I always find it fascinating how severe cranial trauma demonstrates structures normally only visible in the fetal head in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy, such as the ocular parenchyma, here swollen with blood. Think of that baby bird you saw in the nest, before its eyes opened. Those tissues don't disappear, they just take on other functions and are less pronounced due to facial growth around them. But here they have bulged with blood and she looks like a 3-month fetus in terms of her ocular area. Sad, but medically interesting.

It would be great to see more photos of behind the scenes at the funeral home. Seeing the process of how the bodies are dressed, made up, and placed in the casket. Where they are stored, etc. Before and after images from the funeral home.
