Typical hanging discolouration's in the hands and fingertips, livor mortis settling into PM staining. Fingertips very dehydrated as well.

In most countries bodies are buried or cremated within a few days, even if they are embalmed. In the Philippines wakes can last a week or longer. Plus the fact that traditionally, all wakes in here also holds gambling that generates money from winning pot "tong" or commission. Every hand of card game or dice and mahjong, a part of the pot goes to a money jar dedicated for the dead.

When the deceased comes from a poor family, prolonging the wake and holding more gambling tables generates more money for burial expenses. This situation is usually taken advantage by gambling lords. they tell the bereaved that they will shoulder all expenses of the burial if they will just prolong the wake and make the gambling lord earn more.

Here also comes in the police who makes rounds and takes bribes to protect that wake's gambling sessions and not be declared illegal.
