I wouldn't want to know about a terminal ailment in her position. It was probably heartbreaking to the family, based on the beautiful care taken of her corpse and grave marker. She seemed to love life, and that's a gift I wouldn't want taken from me. Being a parent in that situation is devastating.

Great post Anubis Fetish! I was under the impression flight crew were more susceptible to benign brain tumors and headaches due to cabin pressure but I dunno. I don't seem to see anything.
