Re: Totally Awful Close Up's of Girl's Open Casket
I sort of disagree. Maybe not when the person's body is damaged, but for some reason seeing my old friend for the last time helped me get a bit of closure.

Re: Totally Awful Close Up's of Girl's Open Casket
Its such a taboo thing we do as Americans. We think other cultures are messed up for burning bodies or letting vultures eat them. But us as Americans are so fixated on dressing dead bodies up and letting family members come sobb over a disgusting looking body. I think we do some of the most taboo shit everrr ever ever ever.

Re: Totally Awful Close Up's of Girl's Open Casket
A year ago I went to the funeral of an 8 year old boy; he was hit by a car while riding his bike down a country road...at 11 pm. While his crackhead bio unit was cracking it up with friends. Open casket. They had covered his face with awful orange colored make up and put hair patches on him to try and disguise the awful damage to his little face and head. I couldn't sleep that night and still have the occasional nightmare. Barbaric, especially with kids. Thanks for letting me say this.
