This is one of those weird "modern" funerals in which the family stipulate to the embalmer that they would like their loved one to appear "as she did in real life".... I suppose this sort of thing makes the family feel better, more than if the embalmer dressed her up in an evening gown and elaborate hair, etc...

I suppose this sort of thing makes the family feel better, more than if the embalmer dressed her up in an evening gown and elaborate hair, etc... Truth is, this is a lousy embalming job. A good embalmer could have made her look like a sleeping angel... even with her mangling. But that kind of reconstruction costs thousands. It looks like her family couldn't afford a more costly embalmer's job. Just sayin'. |

Most likely there was no real embalming involved, European custom does not include emblmaing for a wake as often as the US
