When the cadaver is not rotten and it's not embalmed, it smells kind-of like the beef meat in a local butcher shop or like the meat in a meat factory (like the one in the 1976's film Rocky). The smell is quite similar, and you get a sense that the "stench" (or smell) penetrates your clothes. Even when you go outside after you have been at a morgue, you get a sense that the smell is still in your clothes and hands. After a few minutes, it goes away. |
