The Mummified Body of a 77-year-old Recluse in His Apartment Holding a Torch
The original image was in black and white so I colorized it, but I'm also including the B&W image. IDK if this is the right place to put this. A 77-year-old man who had not been seen for some time was found deceased at his home, lying on the floor. He was a reclusive alcoholic. The body was mummified and fully dressed, with a flashlight (switched on but with dead batteries) still clutched in his right hand.  Fig.1 The colorized image. The electricity had been disconnected many months before due to nonpayment of bills. The apartment was filled with newspapers dating from 16 months to 8 years before death. In addition, there were hundreds of empty alcohol and mineral water bottles scattered and arranged throughout the apartment.  Fig.2 The original black and white image. At autopsy, the body cavities were largely devoid of internal organs. There was no obvious sign of external trauma, although assessment was complicated by the state of the body. Radiologic investigations revealed no fractures. The cause of death was undetermined but presumed natural. Death was thought to have occurred approximately 16 months previously. the dentals and flashlight are a nice contrast compared to the deceased in this pic  Wonder if he drank water inbetween to reduce the hangover in the morning. |

I wonder if the flashlight beam helped him find the light at the end of the tunnel.

This is great. Are the gums/teeth prosthetics? They look like they're in perfect condition. Im confused lol!
