Laceration of Foot/sole Due to Rusty Nail
Patient is a 40 year old male. During helping a cousin clean some old wooden planks, subject stepped into a nail resulting in this laceration. Condition is stable, he has to get a Tetanus shot, will probably survive. Did not cry during injury.

Re: Laceration of Foot/sole Due to Rusty Nail
I did this when i was 4 or 5, except i was barefoot and the nail went all the way through. I ran bloody footprints up and down the verandah while Mum rang around for a ride to the hospital.

Re: Laceration of Foot/sole Due to Rusty Nail
One time when I was a kid, I climbed a simple between-yards fence, but couldn't make it over and had to slide back down the side I'd attempted it from. There was a long nail sticking out of my side of the fence, RIGHT where I'd tried, that I hadn't seen: it skip-puncture-caught my chest otw down 4 times, the final one hung me up toes-touching, I had to push myself down/OFF of it. Luckily just flesh wounds, no rib cage penetration. Kids are effin' indestructible (so they think, having never known any different.....) |
