Husband Drills Hole in Wife's Head (Korea, 2005)
*Beginning of the Murder Case* The murderer (husband/40 years old) planned to kill the deceased (wife/37 years old) to collect the insurance money. The murderer drove with the deceased in the passenger seat and increased the speed to crash into the wall on the deceased's side. Contrary to the murderer's wishes, the deceased suffered a head injury and was hospitalized. Two months later, the murderer urgently called the medical staff to the hospital shower room. The deceased was bleeding from the head and unconscious. The murderer stated that he found the deceased lying in the shower room. The deceased was transferred to the intensive care unit and died 7 days later. The doctor questioned the deceased's death and advised the family to report it to the police, but the murderer refused, and the body was eventually buried. *How the murder case came to light* After that, the murderer received about $300,000 in life insurance and car insurance. He also dated a married woman and planned to kill her husband to collect the insurance money, but failed several times. The husband of the married woman noticed this scary plan and reported it to the police, and during the investigation, the murderer's lover made a meaningful statement, "That man is worse than me. He is the one who killed his wife a year ago and collected the insurance money." *Autopsying a body that had been dead for a year* The autopsy doctor arrived at the city cemetery, opened the coffin, and took off the body's clothes. The deceased was not decayed but had been saponified. When the scalp was opened, a clear hole (about 0.5 cm in diameter) was found in the skull, which was not present in the X-ray images taken when the victim was alive. The cross-section of the perforation was slightly rough, and a perforation of the meninges was observed in the same area. *The murderer's confession* The murderer confessed that he hit the back of the victim's head with a metal pipe in the empty hospital shower room and then drilled her head with a cordless drill. The murderer was sentenced to life imprisonment, and all of the insurance money he had received was confiscated.  · |

Contrary to the murderer's wishes, the deceased suffered a head injury and was hospitalized. The deceased was transferred to the intensive care unit and died 7 days later. That's a first lol |
