Not all bodies are required to have an autopsy performed. In which case, it can go straight to embalming.

Also, not sure if it makes a difference, but this video is from Mexico (I think).

Ah. You know what I mean though. They started a job that was far from done. Needed to be juiced (embalmed with fluid), drained, eye caps, mouth and nose plugged, sewn shut, maybe a good old AV plug, trocar button bolted in. Lots missed.

This is more pre-embalming than actual embalming.
They are effectively puncturing the major organs to release a build up of body gases, and to drain any fluid left inside them.
