Drowned Lungs
Lungs in case of drowning. In the true type of drowning, in the stage of shortness of breath, large quantities of water enter the respiratory tract, filling the lungs. At autopsy, the lungs are sharply increased not only in size, but also in weight, completely covering the heart with the pericardium. In places with imprints of ribs and focal hemorrhages. They resemble two balls filled with water.
