They skipped over the part where he cut her breast plate and ribs. I was wondering how he was going to do that without being in a lab with the proper tools. Why was it edited out? Was his Gerber multi tool too rusty to show?

That's not an autopsy, that's organ harvesting. Although the way it's being done is odd because usually they do it right after death in order to harvest organs that can be transplanted. This woman appears to have been dead for a long enough time that these organs would not function if transplanted.
