Re: Autopsy Of A Polish Bantam

We lost one of our polish bantams whilst quite young due to similar circumstances but she had an eye problem too so I opted to stop her discomfort.
Our other one is still belting on around 2-2.5 years later and is as soft as a lap dog! She will (given the chance) sit on your shoulder and preen your hair for hours, eventually settling down to sleep up there. When I'm bed bound my g/f will occasionally bring her in to see me and its excitement is evident she clucks and chatters away and quickly settles down on my chest and sleeps there. She once slept on my chest continuously for over 5 hours whilst I was morphined to the hilt and my partner got a call to pick up her vomiting son from school! It never wandered off its towel, nor did it mess and once taken outside it immediately shat and drank and then ran back in the house and into the bedroom to go back to sleep for another hour or so!!
Chickens are not as dumb as we think, and some of them are very bright indeed.
It will be a sad day when she goes :(
