Autopsy Of A Polish Bantam
Her illness extended over four weeks. Her symptoms were: *Lethargy/sleepiness, head droopiness *Shaking head jerkily on occasion *Round worms *Some right side and right leg paralysis increasing toward the end *Some respiratory mucas at end Taking all findings into consideration, the cause of death appeared to be a vitamin K deficiency, extremely bad infection in the reproductive area, infectious synovitis of the kidneys and a strain of salmonella. 1. Evidence of vomitting at end.  2. Method of entry through chest wall  3. Chest opened  4. Heart near centre of liver  5. Pink lung being detached from chest wall  6. Inflammed lung being detached  7. Heart and lungs removed - one lung appears inflammed  8. Heart bisected, normal in appearance  9. Sliced lung showing congestion  10. Crop  11. Liver and gall bladder  12. Pancreas?  13. Granular kidneys  14. Intestine  15. Gizzard opened  16. Underside of liver  17. Top part of trachea  18. View inside mouth  19. Opened crop  20. Ceca  21. Ceca opened, smell was putrid  22. I sourced it from a poultry forum. The top text is heavily edited by me (it was long wattle, I mean waffle before  ) and all text above each image is about 60% edited to sharpen it up  I like animal autopsies, they're fascinating and the similarity in their organs and ours is quite mind-blowing. |
