Re: Autopsy Of A Man Who Died From Alcohol Poisoning

My cousin died at the age of 46 because he couldn't put the sauce down. Sad to see a young life snuffed out over beer. Fucking stupid.

Probably a derelict John Doe. Had all the signs of hypothermia (Alcohol lowers your body temperature) and alcohol abuse. To expedite matters the cause was pretty apparent so they dissected the liver only and sent him to be cremated and the ashes stored.

Re: Autopsy Of A Man Who Died From Alcohol Poisoning

"pinkyziolk", I have to agree with you on your observation! I have participated in or have had to watch several hundred autopsies during my tenure in the funeral biz, or during my LEO career when working in Homicide Division. That has to be one of the bloodiest postmortems that I have ever seen, they are usually more blood free than this one showed. Also, I have NEVER seen a complete skin flap totally removed during a post, unless it was needed for test purposes. Normally there is just an incision, whether it is a typical "Y" incision like is normally found in the U.S. or even sometimes what is referred to as an "H" type incision, that is primarily used on large breasted women in the U.S. It is true that other cultures and countries use different types of incisions, usually just one long slice from pubic bone to just under the chin, or adaptions of this type of incision. BUT, I have never seen a complete skin flap removed during a typical post. O-well, he did have a grossly enlarged heart and screwed up liver. I think that this one was just one very strange autopsy. You can tell that the guy was indeed dead in the first photo due to the pronounced liver-mortis, but still a very strange postmortem...
