Even if you look at the crimes they pull off, they're nothing grand mostly petty or physical in nature.

One wonders if they'll ever mature to the level where they can pull off sophisticated multi billion dollar crimes like Wall Street executives.

For example this guy could've had a fair career in porn with his package in Los Angeles banging beautiful white women yet he couldn't get a work permit to the USA which would've worked better in the long term.

Shows he never did a cost benefit analysis.

Another recommended & scary movie about drug mules was a 2004' movie called "Maria Full Of Grace". It's about A pregnant Colombian teenager who becomes a drug mule to make some desperately needed money for her pregnancy/ baby, after her boyfriend dumps her for getting pregnant. It shows her swallowing the pellets, one by one....as a plateful of these lil' suckers are served to her along with lubricant, to aid in the pods sliding down her throat.
It gets scary when the girl & now friend that was her smuggling partner, has one of the drug pellets burst open inside her on the plane ride to the U.S. They immediately get grabbed & picked up inside the airport by 2 impatient cartel guys who drive them to a sleazy motel & keep them trapped till they poo out all pellets.
By this time, Maria's friend is still overdosing slowly as the cartel guys decide "screw it" & gut her alive in the bathtub....removing all the pellets from her guts. As they dispose of her body in the motel's dumpster, Maria knows she'll be next, since she's a witness. Maria has to decide what to do next to save her & her baby's life.
Ok, not as great as "Midnight Express", but still quite graphic & suspenseful & a pretty good movie. Its on HBO max & Amazon Prime Video right now, for $2.99.
