An ex-girlfriend worked parttime at a hospitals morgue and she told me it was her job to re-work the faces off the fatal traffic accident victims etc. So scrape out the remains and fill it, fake glass eyes, and put makeup on to make the head/torso look natural again. They used all kinds of available stuff like old soks, newspapers, old clothing etc as filling.. Once she came home and said with a big smile she had such a good day. It started bad, while she was underway to her work at the morgue the train stopped at a sudden moment and they had to wait an hour or so. Way too late she arived at the morgue and was a bit pissed off. But the morgue supervisor greeted her with the words he had something "interesting" just comming in. It was the guy who jumped in front of her train!  In detail she described me how his head and torso were just an empty bag of skin.. and somewere along the railroad track they recovered an shoe as well, with the foot stil in it.. they had put it in a used shopping bag and brought it this way to the morgue  So yeah i'm not suprised they sometimes have to fill up the body’s for a decent funeral for the relatives. In this case above they only showed the head in a coffin, and didn't told the family about the newspapers and old clothing offcourse . I should give her a link off this website, she would like it  |
