Autopsy of a 32-year-old Woman
The victim, a 32-year-old woman, was found in the bathroom of her home. She was lying on the floor, covered with a blanket. She had multiple sharp knife wounds on her upper body. She had fractures to her nasal cavity and left cheekbone on her face, and had a fracture of the left transverse process of C2 on her neck. She also had multiple fractures to her ribs, and a stab wound to her heart. A total of 41 knife wounds were found on her external examination, distributed in various locations on her face, head, neck, chest, back, and both upper extremities. Seven wrist/hand wounds were assessed as typical defensive injuries. The killer was her ex-husband, who stabbed her to death with a knife after an argument at her home. He turned himself in to the police shortly after the murder. |
