Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV

Spain confirmed the shipment of Uro Vamtac 4x4 multi-purpose armored vehicles to Ukraine, providing significant support to the Ukrainian Army in its efforts against the Russian invasion. The Ministry of Defence announced the delivery of these armored vehicles, marking a notable contribution to Ukraine's military capabilities.

Since its introduction in 1998, the Vamtac has been used by the Spanish Armed Forces and other countries in various military operations, with over 4,500 units produced to date.

The Vamtac is a four-wheel-drive multi-purpose vehicle powered by a Steyr turbocharged diesel engine producing 188 horsepower, enabling a top speed of 135 km/h.

In May 2022, Spain had already delivered 20 URO Vamtac 4x4 light armored vehicles to Ukraine as part of its military support during the conflict. This delivery was included in a shipment of 200 tons of military equipment, which also comprised 30 military trucks and ammunition. At that time, the URO Vamtac vehicles were among the equipment Spain provided to Ukraine, alongside anti-tank grenade launchers, light machine guns, ammunition, and an RG-31 armored ambulance.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV

The Defense Forces of Ukraine hit a russian radar station "Nebo-M" with ATACAMS ballistic missiles.

Its destruction significantly reduces the ability of the russian army to detect, track and intercept aerodynamic and ballistic targets, the General Staff says.

According to available information, the enemy has only 10 working systems of this type left, the cost of each of which is estimated at more than 100 million US dollars.

The General Staff adds that the destruction of the Nebo-M radar will create a favorable "air corridor" for the effective use of Storm Shadow and SCALP-EG cruise missiles.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV

Swedish PbV-302 armored personnel carriers are heading to Ukraine. An echelon of Swedish Pbv 302 armored personnel carriers arrived in the Czech Republic. Sweden had previously promised to provide them to Ukraine.

A Czech citizen published the video on social media.

The train traveled by rail through the Ústí nad Labem station in the Czech Republic.

In June, Sweden announced the transfer of Pbv 302 to Ukraine, but did not specify the number. There is an assumption that we are talking about more than 200 machines, possible 238.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV

Ukrainian drones attacked an oil depot in Feodosia tonight. The burning Feodosia oil transshipment terminal is the largest in occupied Crimea in terms of transshipment of oil products.

There are two such terminals on the peninsula, the second is located in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol.

The oil depot is located on the eastern edge of Feodosia, near the village of Beregovoye.

The volume of the storage tanks is 250 thousand cubic meters.

Firefighters are struggling to put down the fire. Three people were reported injured. At this moment it is known that 5 fuel tanks were damaged and 2 were destroyed.

In March 2024, it was already attacked by drones, then the main fuel pumping pipeline was damaged.

The same oil depot was already attacked in December and November last year.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room IV

russian drones hunt civilians in Kherson ‘safari’.

Drone attacks strike the southern city hundreds of times a day causing severe physical and psychological harm to the civilians below.

It was a summer’s morning in Kherson. Tatiana and her 87-year-old father were making their way home after a food shop when she heard a sudden buzzing in the street.

She tilted her head upwards and saw a Russian kamikaze drone drop an explosive in the middle of a street packed with civilians.

Tatiana immediately started running, struggling to drag her dementia-stricken father with her. He does not understand that his country is at war. “I dropped and crawled on my stomach but did not raise my head. I just prayed we would get home,” she told.

russia has been known to use kamikaze drones to drop explosives on Ukrainian soldiers but in the southern city of Kherson, where only the River Dnipro separates the territory from the threatening presence of russian forces, they have increasingly been used to target civilians.

As a result, Kherson, Tatiana said, is transforming into a “human safari” where russian drones are used to hunt down and drop grenades and other explosives on civilians trying to go about their everyday lives.

Five civilians were injured in the latest attack on Monday when hand grenades dropped from russian army drones and exploded near a moving bus in the suburbs of Kherson.

At least two civilians were injured in that attack witnessed by Tatiana on Aug 28.

According to residents, russia began targeting civilians with drones several months ago near the left bank of the River Dnipro, but the attacks have increasingly spread into the city centre and suburbs.

There were around 100 drone attacks per day in July and August.

A $0.1 billion asset deployed on 8 wheels. Mindboggling.
